A Thin Sharp Line
Author: Layne K. Saltern
System: Star Frontiers
Category: Science Fiction
Type: Hook
For years, the mysterious Sathar have been slaughtering Frontier worlds from space. No one knows their motivation, or much of anything else about these evil worms. But that may change. You see, a Sathar individual has just made contact with us, expressing his desire to defect to the Frontier. Is this our first breakthrough...or a cleverly designed trap? Either way, we need your help!

I had never ever considered a Sathar defecting before. I guess the Frontier propaganda had me so convinced that they were almost inherently evil that I never thought about their indivduality. Cool concept!

I'm suprised that I have never thought of this... This is an excellent hook for either way a referee wants to go.

Great concept EXCEPT for all that work only to kill off the Sathar?!? If I was a player in this game, well I would be so mad that I would find another group to play with that has a GM that doesn't decide the ending before the role-play begins. Seems to me that any GM that uses this kind of attitude doesn't understand what rpg's are all about
