A lot of neat and interesting ideals not to mention a very dark twisted setting. Could of used a short adventure to set the mood to unwilling PCs. But I can do that myself.

Would like to see a follow up with some more intrigue about the local denizens. maybe the PCs could end up being used as pawns by one of the denizens like The Unraveller who's goal is to overthrow the Weaver. ( In Call of Cthulhu we call it "Why work for the lesser evil")

Great Job, The NPCs are what intrigued me the most. We want more

The Darken Glade has promise, it looks like something you would find under the Vicious Venues column at the WOTC website. I agree with the previous comment that an encounter of some sorts to tie in the PCs would be a bonus. Well Done.

Decent I guess for a starting point, but with all places that are planes or plane-like places on the prime .. more information is required. Sorry if my comment may step on some toes, but stat blocks for all the denizens/races should have been provided, which factions are allies with each other, if this plane or plane-like place has distorted effects to certain schools of magic, and other related information that is much needed to make this collection of words usable in a real game. If you have any such information to add to this, please upload them and I will happily modify my star rating to reflect the added support material.

im giving it a 10 for 2 reasons
1st of all, its pretty good and it gives very detailed discriptions about the npcs and encounters. Im a real random encounter fan so Im going to use your tables
2nd of all, i think its unfair to give this only 2 stars. Its a forgotten realms campaign adventure so extra campaign info is not needed to make this a good adventure. And if a DM cant make that kinda stuff up himself he just sucks at DMing.
So Bil, keep up the good work, it rocks!

I think this would fit better as a campaign setting than a place. The basic thing supposes a unique cosmology that, while not bad, is more at its place in a White wolf-style setting than a D&D setting.
This is a decent effort, still

I agree with Ben. Please explain to me how someone could spend the amount of time that this product represents and still leave vital information out that would have made this setting as good as anything TSR and WotC released over the years. Please finish what you started Bil.........

i am giving it 2 stars because someone gave it 10 because of an imaginary commenter they claimed only gave it 2 stars LOL

If this was a setting in the prime plane of forgotten relms, then I would agree that any more info would be un-needed baggage, but sine the author said something about being a sub-plane of sorts, then i feel that additional information is needed as in reality it is not fully forgotten relms as all planes and sub-planes touch all primes as per various suppliments that dtails planes and sub-planes. What information that is given is well done, but it leaves alot of information out that should have been included.

Bil, I love this setting, although I do not see it working as well with forgotten realms where certain other settings would have worked better, I love the way you have not bothered with Stats and other trivia, it makes it a truly freeform game that can be adapted to any level and style of campaign, I have used it in three games so far and (most) of my players loved it

Man, this is really well written, you have some cool ideas, and some mindblowing ones, what exactly were you taking when you wrote this?

Thank you for this one, I have just finished playing through a game set here and when I ask Gav (The DM) where he got the ideas from he sent me the URL, this is so deep, Gavin has only just scratched the surface of what can be done, also as you havn't put any stats here it is OK for me to check the rest of the place out, I hope you keep doing this stuff, the only thing that lets it down the lack of given plot ideas, to get a feel of the place you need to point some of the less intelligent of us at a basic story

as a stand-along product this really stinks as the author decided to leave the hard part up to the person who d/l's it ... the stat blocks. I would hate to have you as a dm since you have no respect toward other dm's by uploading an unfinished project. Why didn't you finish it?

Well, i was on the receiving end of the Darken Glade. I can vouch for it. I played a young novice (fighter)/Cleric and came out of it a shell-shocked, Fay hating, power-welding individual who thought nothing of fighting along side the Evilest of characters to prevent the Wild Hunt Riding Again :D

I learnt to speak Stone giant, i subdued a red dragon, i danced with the Korrad and was proud to be named a "Fool" ~nervously looks over shoulder~

The Darken Glade is huge, you couldnt put it all on to a web page. its a slice, a taste, a sample of a world and you want ALL the stats, ALL the rules? where's your imagination?

some jerk(calling himself ME) posted a double low rating and hadn't even bothered to read the description, this is marked as a PLACE, not as a scenario, not as a campaign but as a PLACE, if you lack the ability to put together a few simple stat blocks then you are obviosly going to hate it because it is simply to big for your miniscule brain to comprehend, you also seem to think that it is OK to Dis this twice, or did you just think no one would notice an identicle double scoring post, just leave roleplaying games to people capable of playing them and go back to playing shoot em ups on the PC if you cant offer anything constructive

and yes I am going to multiple post this just to see how out of hand it gets

you need to ask the person who runs this site why his site posted my rate twice. i only posted it only 1 time (star rate reflects current rate status)

OK, I seem to have caused a little bit of a ruckus here by not posting stat blocks, not giving plotlines and generally not posting the complete article, of the people above I can confirm that Aaramus has played through a small portion of the Glade, the reason that I have not posted stat blocks is because it makes this location a lot mor versatile, you are not limited to high level or low level parties/individuals or even AD&D, if you really are interested in what the stats of the inhabitants are please feel free to drop me an e-mail and I will happily furnish you with more information than you could be bothered to go through, that is my second point, somewhat offensivly covered by Conan, this is a place, not an adventure in it's own right, although Conan is wrong when he says it is not a campaign, it is, but I simply do not have enough time nor the resources (and to be brutally honest, after the slating that some people have given it I also now lack the inclination) to post the whole campaign I did not want to lay it out in a holier than thou manner, I wanted to get the idea and the feel of the place across, not dictate every creatures stats, also bear in mind that this place is the very essence of chaos, stats vary tremendously all the time. given the amount of controvesy that these simple omissions have caused amongst the RPG community here I think I shall decline from posting any other games here, I wanted to share my work with others to enjoy, not cause an exchange of arguments and abuse. if whomever happens to moderate the forums reads this I would appreciate it if you could remove all multiple postings as they really are not in the keeping of what this site is about and it tends to detract from what people are trying to achieve, the ratings really do not matter to me so I would rather lose "false" positive posts and get a true refelction of other peoples take on the game.

A lot of good ideas, some of which have obviously been carried over from "real" myth and legend, your reference to the wild hunt amused me as in the old 1st edition rules there were all the stats for the wild hunt in legends & lore, I was a little disappointed with the lack of stats, while this is very well written and obviously a lot of effort has gone into it you could have made it so much better just by polishing it up a little, it wouldn't have killed you to put some guide stats in, and possibly a couple of encounters in this setting (I have checked through the archives and this seems to be your only posting)with just a little more work you could have gotten a 9 or even a 10

keep trying

I have to disagree with those giving this adventure a low score. I think it loos great for the effort done and the price of the product in question. Great job, keep up the good work!

Makes a good starting point to build on, but there is too much left out for me to use. (and no i am not too lazy to build upon someone elses work, i just don't think building on someone elses ideas benefits the overall picture that the original author had in mind)
