A Slight Distraction
Author: Morgan Rodwell
System: AD&D 2nd Edition
Category: Fantasy
Type: Hook
The adventure was written to take place in the city of Redspan, in the Duchy of Tenh, during Harvester 585 CY, but could easily be placed in just about any city in the northern Flanaess. The city should be fairly good sized, with a mediocre watch at best, and all the guilds one would expect in such a city, including a source of mercenaries and an assassins guild.

I liked this adventure a lot. It's a good one to stick in to an ongoing campaign, especially if the PC's are close friends. The only thing that kept it from getting a 10 from me,was the idea to let some of the PC's get captured. It's not good to let that

I really enjoyed the background of the tavern in the adventure. While I do agree with Kuya Master that you shouldn't allow a PC to get captured, (especially not a newbie), I think the basic plot and interaction between the NPC's to get essential information was refreshing. A good first adventure, but letting the newbie be the rescuer instead of the rescuee.

Good Role playing opportunity for all involved. And itr is not too long a read.

Excellent mini-adventure. Rather than allow a PC to be caught, any "Ward" the PC's may be responsible for (or a lady fromt eh tavern who was flirty, etc) would do very well. All it really requires is some kind of innocent the PC's will feel responsible enough for that they'll desire to pursue the adventure. Easily accomodated with a Paladin in group.

Let me add my voice to the praises... Nice all-around...

Sounds interesting but If the pc's fail to rescue their friends in time, I'd like to see what would happen in Rookport.
