| Tomb of Maeshowe | | Author: Darren White | | System: D&D Forgotten Realms | | Category: Fantasy | | Type: Scenario | | This is a starting level adventure that takes place in the small halfling village of Kirkwall, set in northern Damara. I encourage everybody that is looking for a great low-level adventure to download this. I've also noticed that this could be built upon with no problems using something like a secret door inserted by a DM for deeper areas...... Thank you Darren for uploading this little gem! |

I appreciated the kobold tactics (scouts and the tunnel collapse) also. Over all a decent adventure.

Sure there is not anything new as far as being original, but that is what I liked the most .. reminds of "back in the day" when chits was king and dice was left for those bored (mispelling intentional) games... Hope you put the same quality into future releases!! |

posted by SadiCorp on 2005-02-11 10:02:59 | | I liked the setup so I converted it to Eberron real easy by changing halflings of Damara to gnomes of Zilargo near the Seawall. There was alot of interesting story in the town that my players never really witnessed which is too bad. You added lots of life to Kirkwall. Now when are you going to release Ring of Brodgar? |

posted by Samurai on 2005-03-26 11:39:10 | | Fun, but it seems somewhat plain. A map would be nice to include, as well as some more back story for the kobold gang. All of the information on the town and residents, while impresive, seemed overkill. |

posted by vorac on 2009-03-03 10:40:47 | Damn, why should be allowed this kind of cheating in the ratings, that is above my post?! Not that the adventure is not good, but still. Maybe a little moderating?
And to the point. I very much like the idea, and am going to put the adventure forward to my players. However, there are some questions, that arise.
In the village there are numerous level 5 characters. they could wipe out the kobold lair for no time, why don't they do it?
Waiting for two days, before beginning to dig themselves out of the unfinished tunnel (with no air supply)? I would be panicked if buried alive, let alone for ": cowardly cobolds".
