Great adventure! My players really got their ass kicked on this one, but they managed to pull through after i weakened the remaining giants a bit. One thing that was a bit unexpected was that my players descided to construct a small stronghold from the ruins, so i got my hands on The Castle Guide and helped them design a small stronghold from the money they found on the site. Don't get me wrong here, it's a SMALL stronghold. Just a big house with a wooden wall and a big ditch. One other thing they did was they collected the Beetle's eggs and want to try and breed them. Ok, that's the good stuff, the one thing i don't like about this adventure is that the author doesn't keep to standard stuff. The big list in the start is really annoying, the Dungeom Master Guide is commonly refered to as the DMG, not 'D'. Anyway, it's something i can live with, but i see no point in it! In conclusion i like this adventure very much indeed :)

Exceptionally well done and well thought out. Good plot. Realistic, believable.

Good adventure for when the players are on their way to some big city etc.

Straightforward hack&slash. Why should the characters arrive at Jolly in the first place?

This scenario is nothing special.

I used this last night as a side trek adventure, my group had a good time with it, thanks.
