A pretty good short adventure. Nice in its simplicity and straightforwardness. The crew of the ship is well detailed.

I would have gave it a better rating, but 2nd edition is old and out-dated. Why even attempt to say it can be converted easily, if this is true, then why not convert all your submissions over to D20 and you wouldn't have to put that in each and every description. I would have given it better stars, but am tired of you saying it can easily be converted instead of offering a fully converted submission

This is a very good adventure that is well planned and challenging for the PCs. Perhaps labeling this under 2nd Edition will get you more credit as converting anything sucks.

too bad you are too lazy to convert things over to the D20 system, i may have rated it better, but I feel insulted by the author by his weak comment about "easily converted". Please if you want the D20 crowd to use your stuff, then convert it yourself and quit being lazy

This is a fantastic waterborne adventure for any 2nd Edition gamer. The ship and its crew are well thought out and described.

Sorry, Darren I forgot to give it a rating before I hit enter. Thus the 10 rating, really a 7-8 type.

I would have given it a better rate, but due to the lack of maps (which is obviously something that is a problem with all your adventures) I would never use your stuff. If you don't have any money to buy a decent map program, go to www.dungeoncrafter.com and d/l that one, it is a freebie and would enhance your stuff 100 times over.

I liked this one very much and i am going to run it to my party soon, i especially appreciate that it was in second edition, since so many people prefer it to d20, and its very hard to find decent 2ed literature anywhere. i personally dislike the 3rd edition and d20 sistem. and i dislike users lie "kandie" that copy&paste their comments to advertise. take it easy darren.

Not bad... very basic and easy to expand... Can be the basis for many other water-based adventures...

Its very hard to find a quality water-borne adventure. This is one of them, using a little known (and even less used) source of evil. Darren more please! (Would have been a 10 but the map thing was a small issue, but it gave me the chance to use the specs of a ship I did have a map of)

The basic idea and setting for the scenario is great. Lots of exciting possibilities for creating fear and tension. Most characters are going to be naturally worried about descending into the gloomy depths to fight zombies in the dark. But despite the good buildup, the payoff is rather disappointing. A mini dungeon (where is the map, btw?) with one nasty fight against a horde of generic monsters. Also, 20 plus creatures fighting inside the cargo hold in a ship is going to be cramped. The players will be reduced to little or no armour and restricted in weapon use to piercing/thrusting weapons and melee. Other small things help to reduce the final grade further. Due to the inflated rewards in most AD&D scenarios (and 3rd ed.), players are probably going to need more incentive than 100 gp per head to accept the mission, and a 200 xp ad hoc bonus at the end is not going to make any AD&D character (5th - 8th level) excited. Finally, how can the characters smell the extra stinky drowned ones under water?

Good idea, although personaly I would weigh down on the numbers against the PC's. Also because most of the NPC's are 1st, 2nd or 3rd class. Otherwise: well done.

Nice to see that 2nd edition stuff is being made, not that run-of-the-mill D20 system.

If you don't like it, don't convert it or use it. Authors post what THEY wrote and what THEY use. The world does not owe you free stuff, and neither does any author. If you can not take the time to convert it, don't call the author lazy. Pot, meet kettle. The arrogance is mind numbing.
