Clan of the Ape Men
Author: John Bowser
System: d20 Dungeons and Dragons
Category: Fantasy
Type: Scenario
The PCs arrive in a town to find that the local blacksmith has been spirited off into the night by a group of Ape-Men who live atop a mountain. If they save him, they may find more than just intelligent apes. These creatures may be trying to release an old evil. What is Ruddred's Orb? and who is really after it? From here on out, it's all monkey business.

Think Planet of the Apes. Little storyline, few details. Mostly just stats for combat. Not impressive.

I think more credit should have been given than Crimson gave. Granted, there was little inspiring plot, but what structure there was, held together nicely, proving adequate at the least. The twist with the evil/non-evil monkies was good and the writing style was entertaining. An average adventure, which had more potential.

The whole killing the good guys is kind of cliche, and shouldn't they have a chance to figuer that out before they do it? I guess I like giving the PCs more control over their actions and such. Overall, though, good plot and what have you, and I like the whole queezinite(sp?) bit.

Good enough adventure, to be a bit twisted by the respective DM's, as this one seems a bit casted for certain characters.
