All is Not Well in the City of Angels
Author: Eamon Honan
System: Call of Cthulhu
Category: Horror
Type: Scenario
Los Angeles, the 9th of August, 1954. While the rest of the city is sleeping or going about its (un)lawful business, there's a party going on in a motel on Long beach. Several well connected people attend. 12:14 and the party is going well, then for 34 seconds of nightmarish horror, hell is cabin 4, in the Bates Motel.

The basic idea behind this scenario is bread and butter CoC, and if it were not for the great setting this would have been quite a average scenario. The 1950's Los Angeles is a refreshing change for veteran investigators and the characters that come with the scenario are just great. Highly Recommended

Very simple scenario, but it has some very good points. It's quite Lovecraftian, especially the bit with the ghouls at the end, but it's a bit 'bare bones', it could be more fleshed out than this. The Bates Motel was a nice touch and should be properly misleading to players who insist on taking advantage of every little bit of out-of-character information. The pre-generated characters are interesting, but I personally prefer to have my players make their own.

Very easy to translate into other periods. The story is good, though combat seems unavoidable. I enjoyed this one.

Interesting adventure. Good investigation.
One thing I particularly like about it is that the whole deals doesn't destroy the world if the PCs fails to understand what is going on. Short, Simple. Love it
