| All is Not Well in the City of Angels | | Author: Eamon Honan | | System: Call of Cthulhu | | Category: Horror | | Type: Scenario | | Los Angeles, the 9th of August, 1954. While the rest of the city is sleeping or going about its (un)lawful business, there's a party going on in a motel on Long beach. Several well connected people attend. 12:14 and the party is going well, then for 34 seconds of nightmarish horror, hell is cabin 4, in the Bates Motel.

The 1950's Los Angeles is a refreshing change for veteran investigators and the characters that come with the scenario are just great.

It's quite Lovecraftian, especially the bit with the ghouls at the end, but it's a bit 'bare bones', it could be more fleshed out than this. The Bates Motel was a nice touch and should be properly misleading to players who insist on taking advantage of every little bit of out-of-character information. The pre-generated characters are interesting, but I personally prefer to have my players make their own. |

One thing I particularly like about it is that the whole deals doesn't destroy the world if the PCs fails to understand what is going on. Short, Simple. Love it |
