Dancing With The Devil
Author: Samuel M. Wright
System: D&D Planescape
Category: Fantasy
Type: Hook
After being tossed out of a high class party in the Lady's Ward in Sigil, a half-fiend sorcerer decides a human adventurer is going to teach him dancing and courtly etiquette. Or die trying. Grabbing a sharp dressed adventurer who's light on his feet, the evil son-of-a-pit-fiend makes the adventurer an offer the cutter can't refuse: Teach me to pass in society and be heavily rewarded. Fail and get strangled with your own entrails. Ever dance with the devil? Better not step on his toes...

Not bad, I'm running an altered Planescape game. It's my own variation on the plane jumping theme. I have an entire story arc written already, but I didn't want my game to just click off with big monumental events, that would have ended the game too soon. So I printed out this module and it ran great as a bridge between climaxes. Thanks

Wow! I'm impressed. It's a brilliant concept, I must say, and I love how it provides for numerous future plothooks. The only weakness is that it relies on a high-charisma PC--but that's hardly a problem that a smart DM can't fix. =) Excellent work!

Very nice. I'm trying to add romance/intrigue to my Planescape campaign, and this adventure gives me an idea. However, I'll try to make the villain a bit more wicked and less brutal. Nice.

An extremely creative idea for a hook; great job! While the "High-Charisma" prerequisite may be bit of drawback, it shouldn't, as was mentioned earlier, be a problem. Open-ended, with a lot of room for free thought. Reminds me of the "Random Encounter" cards that were released for 2nd Edition. Again, good job!

Not bad... especially if you need to tie a campaign in with a certain someone who decides to be a bard.
