The Grey Company
Author: Peter Maranci
System: RuneQuest
Category: Fantasy
Type: Campaign
An example of a campaign genesis scenario: an adventure designed to take a group of player characters who don't necessarily know each other and form them into a long-lasting group, with continuing plot threads and the potential for a developing arc. It's also set in Glorantha - in Pavis, as a matter of fact - but the concepts would likely be useful in many fantasy settings.

Quite a nice story, with interesting plots. The work required by the GM is considerable, but there is enough for the GM to know what is going on. Still, I'd appreciate a little bit more detail in some parts.

Really the best genesis schenario I have ever seen.

This campaign scenario is an excellent framework within which to set adventures, and by doing so give them more impact. Works as well within D&D as with Runequest.

Some interesting ideas in there - some better than others. I especially like the idea of the group being stuck with a house that they can't pay taxes on...
