The Adventure of the Five Ladies
Author: Heidi Kaye
System: Pendragon
Category: Fantasy
Type: Scenario
This adventure should be set sometime after 515, when the Enchantment of Britain opens the way to quests which test the qualities of knighthood, often in mystical and magical ways.

This was a well written set of solos which, I felt, well captured the flavour of Pendragon. I used the adventure as a way of "blooding" a group of squires and modified it accordingly.

The only criticism is that it suffers from a timing problem and is a tad unbalanced. "Justice" is a story of detection and takes time as does "Piety". "Vengeance" is perhaps too tough, though the squire in my version got through with two criticals!

"Love" was a beautiful piece of work and "Valour" is a great opportunity for 'hack and slash'.

Bows to the authoress. Nice work.

I was deeply impressed with the rich, intricate, classically Arthurian flavour of this piece... beautifully written, too. Having not run it I can't comment on the timing, but the quality of the ideas and the attention to genre are superb. Bravo!

One of the best Pendragon adventures I ever seen, better than most in the book. You should be a really special Gamemaster. Cheers!
