The scenario can be used as an adventure for a party travelling across the land to a distant location, or as a change of pace at the end of an outdoor campaign. It could be helpful for the party to include a dwarf and a wizard. Sometimes it is not easy to determine how one goes from one crystal piece to the next (though it is not realy a big problem). It is quite a read though, because verything is very detailed.
