The Lighthouse
Author: Dominic A. Covey
System: Call of Cthulhu
Category: Horror
Type: Scenario
Nominally set in the 1990s (though with just a little modification it can be set in nearly any time period), this truly horrific adventure has the investigators venturing to an old abandoned lighthouse-island off of rural Maine where vague sightings of ghosts and hideous apparitions have kept the townsfolk of Port Clyde away for nearly fifty years...

Yup, liked it much, but somehow I feel
that 'options' are missing from the plot.

Thank you for posting this! Scared me as I read it, scared the hell out of my players as they went through it. I only wish there was a bit more-fleshing out: a map, what happens after they defeat/flee from the ball of arms and teeth, stats on the virus, etc. But an excellent, VERY scary scenario. Thanks again!

really great and scary scenario. very good for introducing cthulhu to your party of GOD-playing DnD guys.
of course, a map is missing and the plot is very strict, there is not really the possibility to "choose your way", but that's what it makes it great as a starting adventure!
Good job!

An exellent adventure, if a bit blatant. The ghosts are certainly not subtle, which -I find- makes it relatively unsuitable for a starting adventure. But with some imagination, it is quickly turned into an enjoyable adventure for any system, and it is this ease of translation that makes it a usefull tool for any Keeper.

Not bad - I'd rather make the ghosts more subtle. The giant creature at the end to fight it a bit silly.

Also, at the end it talks about getting off of murdering a popular nice guy with an oratory roll. That's not right. I think if you kill that guy you get charged with murder. Not sure why authors like to cheapen life like that.

Other than those things, I thought it was an OK module. I'll give it a try.

Sounds like a great "simple" and quick adventure that your group can finish in a mater of hours.

Gonna give it a try with my group as soon as I feel ready =)
