Gweedle the Small is a tiny, wart-covered, simple minded gnome. But he is the keeper of a secret so large that, if they knew, the entire world would bow at his feet.

Background:

Gweedle was not born. He had no mother and no father in physical terms. He was created by Machelus (Mystos), keeper of magic, servant of Yahwelan, Father God, as an experiment in humanity. Gweedle the Small is the uggliest little creature history has ever known. He is clumsy, shy, simple minded, and thoroughly unattractive. He lives just outside of town in a tiny and filthy hovel. He has no money and no real friends. But he has the kindest heart of anyone in the land.

Stats:

Figure that he has 1 hit point and all of his stats are 6, except Charisma which is a 3. Any person could kill him easily and he would be no good in any kind of battle.

Adventure Seeds:

Machelus watches Gweedle at all times. He makes record of everyone's dealings with him and those dealings are subsequently rewarded or punished in the form of anonymous misfortune or blessings. The severity depends upon how good/bad the dealings were. It is not wholly impossible that severe unkindness to Gweedle could result in one contracting a fatal and incurable disease. Kindness, in turn, could result in anything from a bit of luck (+1 to next roll) to a fortuituous discovery of a useful magical item.
