He runs the family store as a front for fencing goods during the day. At night he is a dark vigilante bent on cleaning the scum off of the streets - only he doesnt know it!!!
Background:Jergen is 5'10 and weighs 190 lbs. He wears his black hair cropped short and has piercing blue eyes (which are rather bloodshot as of late). He was born and raised in the Thieve's Guild by his Uncle, Zanzbahr O'Maley, a thief and sorceror. His parents were mysteriously killed when he was a child and his alter ego still seeks the murderer. He does not know why he is so tired and has no memory of his night life (see amulet). Jergen is a likeable, though somewhat distant fellow. This is due primarily to the strain the amulet places on him physically and mentally. He tends to space out during conversations and becomes irritated when asked about his evenings because he believes he just sleeps all of the time and he must be deathly ill, but is afraid to see a physician.Stats:ST 13 (15)

Adventure Seeds:Recently the new Mayor of Shadizar, Grundle, has declared (false) war on crime and the guilds have disbanded (gone under cover). The 'war' is a ruse to gain trade rights with the Capital, Attonnes. Jergen's Uncle is a chief advisor to the Mayor and he covets the control of the city.
He created the amulet that Jergen wears and uses his nephew as an unwitting pawn in the overthrow of the the current government.
There have been many 'demon' sightings throughout the city and the populace does their best to exagerate the tales. The Mayor wants this demon found and killed (as well as whoever summoned it!), but refuses to admit this in public. The constables and local gurad force has an ongoing recruitment for new talent (whether or not they are trained!)...enter the PCs...broke and in need of adventure. |
