| Journey to Balabell | | Author: Darren White | | System: D&D Forgotten Realms [filter] | | Category: Fantasy [filter] | | Type: Scenario [filter] | | This is a side-trek adventure that can be used to get the PCs from one place to the other instead of the boorish uneventful journeys. It takes place in the Forgotten Realms campaign beginning in the Town of Highmoon (Deepingdale) going to a small village in the foothills of the Thunder Peaks. It is the beginning of a series of adventures in that mountain range. AD&D 2nd edition guidelines are followed however this easily converts with little effort.

It is midsummer and the snow from the surrounding mountains has mostly melted. There are puddles on the muddy streets as well as running in rivulets off the houses and along the gutters. There are a few people about and the city has a hurried, blaming atmosphere, which you can feel as you walk about the docks...
The first thing of interest the PCs see is a tattoo parlor. A salty sign depicting a heart with a needle piercing it, swings above the door. A gathering of rough looking sailors gather around and on the three short steps leading up to the door.... | | Views: (5488) [sort] | | Comments: (17) Rating: 6.8 [sort] | | 2006-11-16 22:28:50 [sort] |

| Dancing With The Devil | | Author: Samuel M. Wright | | System: D&D Planescape [filter] | | Category: Fantasy [filter] | | Type: Hook [filter] | | After being tossed out of a high class party in the Lady's Ward in
Sigil, a half-fiend sorcerer decides a human adventurer is going to teach him
dancing and courtly etiquette. Or die trying. Grabbing a sharp dressed
adventurer who's light on his feet, the evil son-of-a-pit-fiend makes the
adventurer an offer the cutter can't refuse: Teach me to pass in society and
be heavily rewarded. Fail and get strangled with your own entrails. Ever dance
with the devil? Better not step on his toes... | | Views: (5655) [sort] | | Comments: (6) Rating: 6.7 [sort] | | 2000-11-02 16:49:19 [sort] |
