| Winter Beast | | Author: Joe | | System: GURPS [filter] | | Category: Fantasy [filter] | | Type: Scenario [filter] | From Newsgroups: rec.games.frp
In the last few weeks I started threads called “ The Death Artist ” and “ Hackers on Ice ” to get ideas for a GURPS adventure that I ran. Thank you to all who responded. The game session turned out to be very good. A lot of those who responded requested that I let them know what happened so I’m posting the adventure that I created, and a summary of what happened. | | Views: (4366) [sort] | | Comments: (5) Rating: 7.0 [sort] | | 2000-02-17 00:51:22 [sort] |
| The Tower Of Refuge | | Author: Alan Jones | | System: AD&D 2nd Edition [filter] | | Category: Fantasy [filter] | | Type: Scenario [filter] | | "About 200 years ago a large fire swept through the town of Narborel. The fire started in the Wizard's Guild, killed a number of towns folk and destroyed almost a quarter of the towns timber buildings before it was put out. For this reason the Town Council told the Wizard's Guild to leave and set up their guild house on the large island in Narborel Bay on the condition that they set up a light at the top of the tower to warn shipping of the rocks in the bay. The wizards felt they were unjustly and harshly treated so they named their new guild headquarters "The Tower Of Refuge". The then leader of the Guild, Lazilan, build the tower, walls and guest house using magic and stone brought in from the quarries around Mt. Barule." | | Views: (5909) [sort] | | Comments: (3) Rating: 7.0 [sort] | | 2000-02-23 11:20:07 [sort] |
| The Long Mine of Klangdensturm | | Author: Keven Simmons | | System: D&D Forgotten Realms [filter] | | Category: Fantasy [filter] | | Type: Scenario [filter] | | Several dwarven generations ago, the dwarven city of Klängdenstürm, located deep in the Underdark, operated a mithril mine several miles away from the main city. Not only was it a particularly abundant source of the rare metal, but it was also the only such mine to be found for hundreds of miles. The dwarves of Klängdenstürm were therefore very protective of their mithril and guarded the mine with a battalion of dwarven soldiers and a cunning maze full of deadly traps. Other denizens of the underdark made many attempts to wrest control of the mine away from the dwarves of Klängdenstürm, but all were thwarted. The dwarves thought their defenses were unbreachable, at least until the cunning Bitzune Ca’Theran learned of the mine.
