| Shades of the Blade | | Author: Daron Patton | | System: Star Frontiers [filter] | | Category: Science Fiction [filter] | | Type: Hook [filter] | | Koraffo stared at the Khad’dan buried deep in Ulkunk’s amorphous corpse. He
was the sole survivor now. Why hadn’t he simply refused to follow the human
female’s orders? Why didn’t matter any more. The Hir-Kal would be coming for
him next. Then it could rest again.
The Yazirian sighed then dropped his blaster belt and blaster to the deck.
Lasers would be no use against such a phantom. According to legend nothing
was. The hissing song of his Khad’dan being swiftly drawn from its sheathe
echoed down the silent passageway. If an ancient evil wanted his life, it
would have to pass through ancient steel to take it.

| A Thin Sharp Line | | Author: Layne K. Saltern | | System: Star Frontiers [filter] | | Category: Science Fiction [filter] | | Type: Hook [filter] | | For years, the mysterious Sathar have been slaughtering Frontier worlds from space. No one knows their motivation, or much of anything else about these evil worms. But that may change. You see, a Sathar individual has just made contact with us, expressing his desire to defect to the Frontier. Is this our first breakthrough...or a cleverly designed trap? Either way, we need your help! | | Views: (7552) [sort] | | Comments: (3) Rating: 7.0 [sort] | | 2000-02-09 02:56:39 [sort] |
| A Slight Distraction | | Author: Morgan Rodwell | | System: AD&D 2nd Edition [filter] | | Category: Fantasy [filter] | | Type: Hook [filter] | | The adventure was written to take place in the city of Redspan, in the Duchy of Tenh, during Harvester 585 CY, but could easily be placed in just about any city in the northern Flanaess. The city should be fairly good sized, with a mediocre watch at best, and all the guilds one would expect in such a city, including a source of mercenaries and an assassins guild. | | Views: (19549) [sort] | | Comments: (6) Rating: 8.2 [sort] | | 2000-02-01 09:33:26 [sort] |
| Agar's Payment | | Author: aubricker@aol.com | | System: AD&D 2nd Edition [filter] | | Category: Fantasy [filter] | | Type: Hook [filter] | | The Good Hills area is civilized, and despite recent troubles it is mostly safe from major humanoid raids and similar threats. Still, there are some ancient burial grounds of unknown origin in the area. The Keoish would rather "let sleeping evils lie" and generally have the good sense to leave such things alone, but adventurers are another matter. | | Views: (13833) [sort] | | Comments: (13) Rating: 7.6 [sort] | | 2000-01-27 10:32:01 [sort] |
