| Desperate Remedies | | Author: Jon Rowe | | System: Call of Cthulhu [filter] | | Category: Horror [filter] | | Type: Hook [filter] | | Someone close to the investigators is succumbing to a horrific disease. Symptoms include unpredictable attacks of agony; loathsome swellings, horrible alterations in skin texture and bone structure, and foul excrescences. Conventional doctors are mystified and alternative therapies are futile - because the sufferer is turning into a ghoul.

| Devil's Deception | | Author: Darren White | | System: d20 Dungeons and Dragons [filter] | | Category: Fantasy [filter] | | Type: Scenario [filter] | | The Devil’s Deception involves the PCs discovering a dilapidated tower deep in the wilds of an ancient forest. The tower belonged to a long dead evil wizard that brought a great horror into the world. This diabolical creature is imprisoned within and impatiently looking to be released.
This adventure makes an excellent diversion within a larger Dungeons & Dragons module or campaign. The Devil’s Deception takes place within a temperate wilderness setting, a wild that is not traveled often works best. The module was designed to be used by four 4th-characters. The Dungeon Master (DM) will need a copy of the Player's Handbook, the Dungeon Master's Guide, and the Monster Manual (items not within these text are fully explained complete with stat blocks if necessary).

| Dhowin's Rest | | Author: Alan Jones | | System: AD&D 2nd Edition [filter] | | Category: Fantasy [filter] | | Type: Scenario [filter] | | Dhowin's Rest itself is a low mound that anywhere else could be missed by casual travellers. On the bleak Plains of Yhaunn the mound draws the eye like a magnet. It is about 10 paces wide by some 15 paces long and egg shaped. Grass grows thickly on its smooth surface. Near the southern end there is a small depression where a few stones protrude like bones picked clean by the ravens that circle constantly looking for stray sheep or goats. | | Views: (8424) [sort] | | Comments: (3) Rating: 5.3 [sort] | | 2000-02-01 09:21:03 [sort] |

| Dobrai Waldaster Overlord (Star Wars d20) | | Author: Manuel Pirino | | System: Star Wars [filter] | | Category: Fantasy [filter] | | Type: NPC [filter] | | The greatness of a hero is measure by that of his or her adversaries. What would be Theseus without the Minotaur? Superman without Lex Luthor? Luke without the Emperor? So here is a NPC for your Tekkaman blade pilot (already posted on the RPGARCHIVE). Dobrai is (or better, was) the Supreme Overlord and mastermind of the “Waldaster” empire and a powerful minion of the Sith Armada at the time of the Battle of Ruusan (1000 BBY). A very powerful foe, with force power boosted by his naturally high ability scores and high level, he could be a perfect “final battle” opponent, able to take many of the PCs' lives. | | Views: (674) [sort] | | Comments: (0) Rating: 0.0 [sort] | | 2010-05-29 12:52:31 [sort] |
