| A Journey Through The Planes | | Author: Dominic A. Covey | | System: D&D Planescape [filter] | | Category: Fantasy [filter] | | Type: Scenario [filter] | | This scenario was developed in the same light as the PLANESCAPE computer game, but if you liked that epic, you’ll love this too. At least one character (the “starring role”) plays a clay automaton in the form of a babau, who begins the adventure without memories and must learn, through his travels across the twisted planes, his true identity and purpose in the Multiverse. With continually-developing powers and a mysterious curse that possesses him with each new danger and adventure, the babau and his motley group of newly-acquired other-planar friends (including an arcanaloth, a metal robot, and an incubus) must discover the secrets behind the babau’s creators and put them to rest once and for all!

Covey | | System: Call of Cthulhu [filter] | | Category: Horror [filter] | | Type: Scenario [filter] | | In this adventure, the investigators return home to their peaceful old hometown upon hearing news of a young relative’s horrible death. Taking part in the funeral, they soon discover a sinister presence among the town’s children, perhaps even the murderer of their young cousin. | At The World's End | | Author: Dominic A. Covey | | System: Call of Cthulhu [filter] | | Category: Horror [filter] | | Type: Scenario [filter] | | This scenario takes place in the 1990s, in central Vermont. The setting is in the summertime, when the Green Mountain National Forest is crowded with campers and tourists - the investigators among them. Suddenly all manner of strange spider activity strikes the Green Mountains, resulting in several mysterious deaths and a standoff between ecologists and a newly-opened major hydroelectric dam in the Forest. | | Views: (14301) [sort] | | Comments: (6) Rating: 8.7 [sort] | | 2000-02-10 15:41:24 [sort] |
| Master of The Undersea | | Author: Dominic A. Covey | | System: D&D Oriental Adventures [filter] | | Category: Fantasy [filter] | | Type: Scenario [filter] | | In recent weeks the Temple of Shou Wat on the eastern coast of Shou Lung was raided by a mysterious and horrifying force that stole from the peaceful guardian-monks the sacred Fire Jewel of Shou. This "force", calling itself the Master of The Undersea, has begun to wreak havoc on the sealanes for sheer mischief and malice, using this powerful artifact to sink ships and set fire to coastal villages. Something must soon be done to find this sea-demon and it's accursed abode, before word reaches the Imperial Seat that the monks of Shou Wat have failed to guard his precious Fire Jewel from minions of evil! | | Views: (15707) [sort] | | Comments: (4) Rating: 10.0 [sort] | | 2000-02-13 11:03:28 [sort] |
| Runaways | | Author: Dominic A. Covey | | System: Call of Cthulhu [filter] | | Category: Horror [filter] | | Type: Scenario [filter] | | This scenario, "Runaways", takes the investigators (and the Keeper) into another world, into the lives and minds of an alien intelligence - dolphins. The story revolves around four dolphins (five really), who were formerly part of a "cult" dedicated to both Father Dagon and Mother Hydra, somewhere in the South Pacific. Although most such servitors are bound mindlessly to their masters in the depths, called upon only to terrorize human fishermen or to act on the behalf of human cults, four of these dolphins began to realize, by some stroke of intelligence on their own part, their own capacity for goodness...but they have little time left to break the walls between man and dolphin before Mother and Father find them.

| The Black Scepter | | Author: Dominic A. Covey | | System: D&D Forgotten Realms [filter] | | Category: Fantasy [filter] | | Type: Scenario [filter] | In recent weeks, a great tragedy and controversy has arisen in the east-central shires of the Barony. Normally the nobles of the land would take little heed to the outcry of the gnomes and pastoral country folk there (who often make a great fuss of a month of bad weather, calling for the court wizards of Baron’s Hold to take a hand and set the weather to fair for the rest of the year), but this matter seems to be rather serious. By now news of it has spread across the heart of the Barony and even to the court of the Baron himself.

| The Lighthouse | | Author: Dominic A. Covey | | System: Call of Cthulhu [filter] | | Category: Horror [filter] | | Type: Scenario [filter] | | Nominally set in the 1990s (though with just a little modification it can be set in nearly any time period), this truly horrific adventure has the investigators venturing to an old abandoned lighthouse-island off of rural Maine where vague sightings of ghosts and hideous apparitions have kept the townsfolk of Port Clyde away for nearly fifty years...

Covey | | System: D&D Forgotten Realms [filter] | | Category: Fantasy [filter] | | Type: Scenario [filter] | | In this adventure a large group of adventurers are contacted to hunt down and eradicate the strange menace to the outlying villages and vital merchant caravans of a distant realm, which has recently come under attack by a cult of evil humans and demon-led armies of goblinoids. What is the source of this dread new evil, and do the PCs stand a chance against their mighty fortress? | | Views: (6681) [sort] | | Comments: (1) Rating: 5.0 [sort] | | 2000-02-13 10:30:33 [sort] |
| Thunder Gulley | | Author: Dominic A. Covey | | System: D&D Forgotten Realms [filter] | | Category: Fantasy [filter] | | Type: Scenario [filter] | | Designed in the same spirit as the classic AD&D game adventure THE VILLAGE OF HOMMLET, this adventure presents a small rural hamlet with complete descriptions of NPCs, including potential allies and secret adversaries. THUNDER GULLEY also includes a brief but exciting adventure in a nearby ruin, long forgotten by all but the oldest of the frontier village's inhabitants ... | | Views: (13800) [sort] | | Comments: (5) Rating: 8.6 [sort] | | 2000-02-13 10:37:28 [sort] |
